It’s launch day and we’re at Kettering Leisure Centre for the Gauge O Guild’s Spring Show. Nigel Paine is sat on stand D5 demonstrating carriage and wagon construction. He’s supposedly building a N.E.R. gun truck but has a selection of D&S carriages sitting front and centre!

At 11:30 we will be at stand T52 meeting with our friend Danny Pinnock of D&S Models for a special announcement. The big news is that Hybrid Models has taken over Danny’s range of ‘O’ Gauge North Eastern Railway kits.

Danny has never had a website or any on-line presence and we hope that, by presenting these wonderful kits on a website, we will be able to revitalise the range. As you will eventually see (we are still populating the webpages) we have around 30 D&S kits we can offer including his very earliest O gauge horse box kit launched around 45 years ago. This has a close connection with us since a VERY young teenage Nigel test built a test etch for Danny and it has accompanied his stand to shows ever since. The range also features a selection of six wheel carriages, 8 wheel clerestory carriages, plus a variety of box and stores vans. We even will have a NER footbridge. Quite a few of these kits have only been produced in very limited quantities.
